Born in Toronto, and growing up in Edmonton, Dr. Joshua Banting spent time living and working all over Canada. Prior to medical school at the University of Calgary, his previous careers included working as a Paramedic, and Physician Assistant postgraduate training at the University of Nebraska. Go Cornhuskers!

Dr. Banting completed his Medical Doctorate in 2021 and undertook a rural residency program to help provide care for lower resource and underserved rural communities. He is currently in his final year of residency for his Canadian Family Physician certification and is looking forward to his time in Drumheller.
