Véronique Dorais Ram is an army brat and grew up in Europe. She attended McGill University and completed a B.A. (First class honours) and M.A. in English Literature. Her love of Jane Austen and Canadian Family Sagas brought her across the country to Calgary to complete a PhD in Canadian Fiction. She joined the Leaders in Medicine program in the Cumming School of Medicine and graduated with an MD/PhD. Her dissertation discusses deformity in Canadian fiction. She completed her residency in the Rural Family Medicine Program with the University of Calgary in Lethbridge. Veronique has a full scope family medicine practice, working both in clinic and at the Drumheller Health Centre. When she isn’t working, she can be found playing with her 3 children, running, or singing Broadway tunes. She loves all areas of family practice, from holding new babies to holding a senior’s hand.
