Aly grew up on a farm near Hanna and moved around Alberta for work, for several years, before accepting her current Licensed Practical Nursing role for the Big Country PCN at Riverside Medical. Aly has worked in a variety of nursing environments, including acute care, emergency, postpartum, oncology, palliative, and home care. She has a special interest in community nursing and preventative healthcare.

As a Primary Care nurse, Aly is responsible for patient education and follow-ups for chronic disease management, health promotion and prevention of all ages. She also assists the physicians with routine prenatal education, assessment, and management of expecting mothers. Aly is a Certified Advanced Foot Care Nurse and performs foot care service at Riverside Medical, along with her other responsibilities. Being able to live and work rurally is ideal for Aly's lifestyle as she spends her free time riding horses and barrel racing.

The Town of Drumheller and the team at Riverside Medical have been very welcoming and supportive and Aly looks forward to continuing to provide care to the community.
