Well, it's official! I'm here to stay. After 3+ months of training, I have been adopted by the Riverside Medical family.

It has been an interesting and eye opening experience thus far. Having to convert from old school paper and pen (the way it was done many years ago, and more familiar to this old gal) to the more modern electronic everything, has been quite challenging for me. In the beginning, I feared the computer mouse; click here, click there, or, where do I click? I was having nightmares about accidentally deleting patient files; but the most disturbing one was when all the computers in the office simultaneously burst into flames. I laugh about it now. Learning new computer programs, being educated about the many medical services available, familiarizing myself with the different tasks I am required to perform and, in general, how to be a productive member of a caring medical team has filled me with a passion too profound to describe.

Many of you have already met me at the clinic and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your patience. It's been my pleasure to meet you. As there is no end to learning, I will strive to do my best to serve you in the years to come.

So, stay tuned for more updates on my journey as a patient care coordinator at Riverside Medical and the interesting story of how my first day started.
